“We Are Dealing With That” – Amanda Staveley Bemoans Bad VAR Decision

|

Newcastle United co-owner Amanda Staveley has said that the club are not taking the bad VAR decisions which have cost the team points lightly.

On Sunday, Tyneside Life put up a video from Kingston Park stadium where the Newcastle United Women’s Team were unlucky to fall to a 4-3 defeat to Hull. Eddy, who runs the channel, spoke to Becky Langley before and after the game, gaining a good insight into the changes being made around the Women’s team and how that will affect them going forward. It’s an excellent video and well worth a watch.

After the game, Eddy was able to catch up with Amanda Staveley to question her about the long-term goals of the Women’s team and how girls can get involved with the team. Then at the end the attention turned to the result on Saturday for the Men’s team against Palace with Staveley saying, “I had a sleepless night. We should have won, I hated the VAR decision. Obviously, that’s something we’re dealing with, it seems to be a consistent theme of the last few games. But we are dealing with that, talking to officials and we’re trying to get something that we think will work going forward.”

We all know that Amanda Staveley isn’t one to back down from a fight, otherwise, we wouldn’t be in this position now, so I hope the FA, Premier League and PGMOL are ready because it definitely sounds like our club are.
