Thick and Thin

Supporting NUFC is a rollercoaster of emotions but you can’t pick and choose your club.

We Love You Newcastle but we like to moan don’t we?

It seems some are not at their happiest unless they see reason to have a right old moan and while moaning can be good by relieving the frustrations that build up, it has to be fair.

Today’s performance was alright in patches but the frustration of a poor Summer transfer window has finally boiled over and the moaning has created massive problems.
Self inflicted by the club, yes but it’s now a catch 22 situation which won’t be resolved until January at the earliest and that’s dependent on us actually splashing the cash.

We now have a pressure cooker scenario which has ruined our season and there’s not a cat in hell’s chance that we’re gonna top last year’s finish now.
The club should have signed defensive cover as Mike Williamson is nowhere near good enough and his fellow pro’s let it be known to the whole of St James’ today that they feel the same by gesturing to him on his many mistakes. The lad’s confidence is shot as well which helps nobody. Other players will follow if this continues.

Not helping us is a lack of good luck and a settled side. Hopefully by the time Coloccini’s suspension ends, we can actually get down and play the game we played last year because when a team is lacking in confidence they tend to hump it long, which we have been doing to relieve the pressure of walking the ball out of defence or spending time on the ball.

Not a time to panic but a time to reflect and ask ourselves, What do we want the club to achieve this season?
We get behind them and see them through this sticky period and we’ll be alright.
Boo them or complain at every single little thing just causes the club we love to go through further anguish and then there’s only one way we’ll end up.

For those that think we deserve the pain of seeing a losing side or going through relegation again as some sort of reward for Mike Ashley still being in charge need to change the record. The issues that have been have gone now, football moves on and leaves you behind if you dwell. Horrible things have happened but id like to think the club has tried to make amends.

We are all in this together and will achieve a hell of a lot more good if we’re singing off the same sheet. Our support is legendary, it’s about time we used it to our potential. The club needs to create some new singing sections as the away end is an advantage to our opponents whilst our crowd can be quiet unless prompted.

This could be a blip but it could also be the beginning of the end of Pardew’s NUFC, whatever happens, we crack on with us just doing what we’ve done for years.

Supporting the lads through thick and thin.
