Pavel Srnicek returns to action in a Newcastle jersey as Newcastle Utd reserves take on Wigan reserves at Kingston Park on Monday evening.
The 38-year old has returned to the club as cover for Steve Harper now that Shay Given is recovering from that horror injury at Upton Park. The Bohumin-born goalkeeper has signed a three month deal.
He first signed for the club in 1990 and left in 1998.
His last Premiership appearance for the Mags was October 1997 when he played in the 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers at St James’ Park. The team that day: Srnicek, Watson, Beresford, Batty, Peacock, Albert, Hamilton (Lee), Gillespie (Howey), Tommason, Barnes, Ketsbia.
