November’s Club Player Of The Month Announced

|

Remember the Premier League?

Well, believe it or not, Newcastle played some games in that glorious competition this month and as such have chosen a Player Of The Month for November and it is none other than two-goal hero and King of the breathless interview, Joe Willock.

Willock has been growing in stature this season after losing his way somewhat last season. Willock went from the goal machine that kept us in the Premier League when on loan from Arsenal to becoming dangerously close to being a £25m flop.

Was Willock Your Player Of November?

Definitely

Nope

But this season, Eddie Howe has stuck with the 23-year-old and shifted the emphasis away from goalscoring into more of an all-round battling midfielder and it has paid off. Willock has seemingly improved in each and every game and is becoming the player we always thought we were getting when we signed him from Arsenal.

On top of that, November saw Willock rediscover his goalscoring touch with a goal in each of the two games played in November, bagging one of four goals at Southampton and then netting the winner at St James’ Park against Chelsea when he took the ball off Almiron’s foot and rifled it into the top corner. It was almost like a passing of the torch from the Paraguayan.
