Newcastle Interested In Signing Bellingham

|

But it’s not THAT Bellingham, unfortunately. It’s his younger brother, Jobe who plays for Birmingham City.

At 17 years old, Jobe Bellingham has already broken into the Birmingham City first team and is being tracked by several clubs in England and Germany as well as Rangers in Scotland.

In an exclusive via Team Talk, it’s believed that Jobe will not go the same route as his big brother and will choose to stay in England over moving to Germany, despite interest from Bayern Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund.

Team Talk goes on to say that should Jobe choose to stay in England, the North East is a likely destination with Middlesbrough and Sunderland interested in the youngster. And with Birmingham in limbo with their current ownership, they will find themselves in a difficult position to fend off any interest should a formal bid come in.

While Jobe isn’t considered at the same level as Jude Bellingham, he is already starting to make a name for himself, and under the stewardship of Eddie Howe and the Newcastle youth set-up as it is now under Dan Ashworth’s supervision, what’s to say that the younger sibling can’t bridge that gap?

I think most people would have Jude Bellingham in their Team of the Tournament for the World Cup, and there were a lot of fans on social media hoping we could make a move for the teenage sensation. So, would a move for the younger Bellingham suffice? It sounds like it could be a big deal if he receives the right guidance, and what’s to say that we can’t give him that guidance at Newcastle?
