With the Premier League now on a break for the World Cup, Newcastle find themselves in third place in the league after having dominated October with our manager of the month, player of the month and goal of the month. A trio of awards for the third-place Mags.
And now we have ourselves another trio as Newcastle have the highest-scoring goalkeeper, defender and midfielder in the Fantasy Premier League.

If you’re lucky enough to have Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier and Miguel Almiron in your FPL team then you’ll likely be riding high in whichever leagues you’re in.
I can imagine there’d be plenty of Fantasy Premier League teams out there that have Kieran Trippier and Nick Pope in them, but I bet there weren’t many that started the season with Almiron as one of their first-choice midfielders.

With all due respect to Miggy, at the start of the season when the teams were picked he’d have been one of those players you’d maybe pick just because he was the best option at a certain price point. He’s a budgetary decision more than one you make with your head or heart. Well, he was. Now I’ll bet he’s been transferred into many an FPL team.
It was only last season that Geordies would only put Newcastle players in their team out of a sense of loyalty, and even then it was a hard decision. Now it’s hard to just pick three, but it’s clear that these are the three you need.
