Lots of Newcastle fans have agreed that Joelinton is not to blame for what is going on at the club at the moment.
The fanbase has attracted a fair bit of press recently for their treatment of the Brazillian after he was criticised against Rochdale, with some fans singing “you’re not fit to wear the shirt”.
After the match, fan account @theinsidernufc tweeted about the incident, discussing about how Ayoze Perez and Joelinton have had to face the stick in recent week, whereas the real people responsible for the problems on the pitch are Mike Ashley and Lee Charnley.
Lots of fans agreed with the message from the Twitter user and responded accordingly.
One suggested that Ashley is getting an ‘easy ride’, while others grovelled over the initiative to give fans free tickets, thus countering the action taken against him.
Here are some of the replies below…
Couldn't agree more, and to show how angry we are we lap up free tickets from our horrendous owner.

Well said really, Ashley getting an easy ride, not even chants against him at the game.

I can’t for the life of me see how booing players will help. Instead how about folk walk out. Dont go! Of course it will help. Ashley loves money. Ashley loves making fans look weak. Giving tickets & folk taking them shows ashley he has them right where he wants them!!!

It’s absolutely mental. All those things you mentioned plus MANY more gets served up MA and the fans take it. When the likes of Ayoze got a harder ride by our fans those fans who go & took free tickets deserve Mike Ashley

He didn’t. He’s rubbish, he’s been stitched up I feel.

The last few weeks for the Magpies have been a bit sobering. After things looked pretty good after the Crystal Palace match, three losses on the bounce in the league has made the threat of relegation look very real again, being only five points ahead of Bournemouth in 18th.
The Toon travel to Molineux to face Wolves on the weekend.
