‘He’s been stitched up’ – Lots of Newcastle back up Joelinton after fan criticism

Lots of Newcastle fans have agreed that Joelinton is not to blame for what is going on at the club at the moment.

The fanbase has attracted a fair bit of press recently for their treatment of the Brazillian after he was criticised against Rochdale, with some fans singing “you’re not fit to wear the shirt”.

After the match, fan account @theinsidernufc tweeted about the incident, discussing about how Ayoze Perez and Joelinton have had to face the stick in recent week, whereas the real people responsible for the problems on the pitch are Mike Ashley and Lee Charnley.

One suggested that Ashley is getting an ‘easy ride’, while others grovelled over the initiative to give fans free tickets, thus countering the action taken against him.
