End Of PardewGate

It was dragging on for a bit but the infamous ‘heading’ incident that has overshadowed our club and Alan Pardew has finally been resolved with a big fat line drawn under it.

A record breaking line at that.

Not content with breaking all sorts of unwanted records here by some of our defeats, Pardew now has the honour of having the longest managerial suspension in the premier league.

A whopping 7 (SEVEN) games, although it could have been more.

The first 3 of these games are a complete stadium ban, so he gets to live the life of a local journalist and have to find a dodgy stream in a bar somewhere with the remaining 4 games just a dugout/touchline ban, so he can shout and bawl as much as he likes in the warmth of Joe Kinnear’s seat in the directors box.

Pardew spoke on NUFC.co.uk about his banning.

‘As I have made clear, I deeply regret the incident and again wholeheartedly apologise to all parties for my conduct, which I understand was not acceptable.

‘I will accept the punishment handed down by the FA today. My focus now turns to preparing the team for this weekend’s game against Fulham and finishing the season as strongly as possible.’
