After missing our previous league game at Hull City due to a death in the family triggering some compassionate leave, Fabricio Coloccini returned to the club by taking in tonight’s FA Youth cup game between ours and Chelsea’s kids.
The Argentinian stopper wasn’t much of a miss in our 4-1 romp at Hull but will be a worthy leader in the forthcoming season run in and maybe moreso with the banning of club mouthpiece Alan Pardew from the dressing room and corridors of stadiums for the next few games.
With talk of homesickness still looming large, this may yet be Colo’s swansong at St James’ and the last time we get to see his quality.
