Loads of Newcastle supporters have been reacting on social media after Sky Sports suggested Manchester United had eyes on young Magpies star Sean Longstaff.

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on signing young, home-grown talents this summer as the former centre-forward intends to rebuild the struggling Old Trafford outfit with fresh blood across the pitch.

No offer has yet been lodged for Longstaff, though, and Newcastle chiefs have already made it clear that the midfielder is not for sale.

Instead, the club are said to be planning talks over another new contract that would bring the 21-year-old in line with the salaries of other first-team members.

The deal he signed back in December following his promotion to the senior fold was only seen as a reward for making his breakthrough, while tieing the North Shields-born anchor to St James’ Park until 2022.
