Bruno Guimaraes last night welcomed the birth of his first child, a baby boy called Matteo.
The Newcastle and Brazil midfielder made the announcement on his Instagram with a touching post, praising his partner and his parents. Kicking the post off with “Welcome to the world son! It is with great joy that I announce the arrival of my first son, without a doubt today is the best day of my life!”

He went on to say “Ana, my love, I am already sure that you will be the best mother in the world and thank you very much for making my life’s dream of being a father come true!”
Bruno was congratulated by teammates, fans and celebrities alike on the arrival of Matteo.
It remains to be seen if Bruno makes the trip to Tottenham tomorrow or if he’ll be given a day of leave to spend with his son, but I’d imagine Bruno is the type of man who’d go do the best he can on the pitch and dedicate his performance to his family.
Whatever he decides to do there’s one fact that remains …. Matteo is a geordie!
Bruno has repeatedly said how he feels at home on Tyneside and now he gets to take a little piece of Newcastle with him wherever he goes as he will always have that memory that his son was born during his time at Newcastle.
