What a difference a week makes with back to back victories over the two form teams of the premier league. Victories that change the mind set from almost certain relegation to feelings that things can be so much more rosier.

With results breeding delusion at times though, the danger is that some will follow the thoughts of the Mackem boom/bust cycle and think all of our problems are solved with a decent week and that ‘Yewrupp’ is around the corner. It’s not and they’re not.

The initial thought is that some players know the window is coming up and are playing for their next transfer cut but on analysing that, a decent spend could make things more rosey here and see an increased pot of players that want to play here in search of ambitious tendenacies.

The jury is so far out on that one it’s unbelievable but just one of the issues that the club needs to resolve if we are to progress on any front under the current set up.

The fact that the social media forums are reflecting the thoughts of our club now in that they are virtually dead for the most part but still have the ability to be enjoyed with a decent win, is something that proves we all want the best for the club and further proof that it is still results orientated.

If Mike Ashley really does want success for the club and is looking for ways in which he can turn the tide then the fans need listened to, starting with strengthening the squad.
