“Love you Jake” – A lot of Newcastle United fans are piling praise onto Jake Humphrey after he claimed that Newcastle should be given universal support in their battle against Mike Ashley.
The BT host has become a popular figure on Tyneside in recent years because of his willingness to stick up for Newcastle and their fans.
This is very different from other elements of the media who often attempt to blame all of the Toon’s problems on a loyal fanbase that deserves to have an owner who cares about the club as much as the fans do.
Mr. Humphrey expresses real remorse for those Toon fans who travelled down to Leicester, and a lot of Newcastle fans love what the massive Norwich City fan said about them.
See the best of the reaction below.
Totally baffled by how some are trying to spin the mess at Newcastle to have a pop at their fans.
Not only are they the innocent party in all this, their support yesterday in driving rain was nothing short of remarkable.
They should be getting our universal support… https://t.co/OCQheI8Kli

These Newcastle fans are pleased to see at least someone in the media sticking up for them.
We get called delusional and that we aren’t a big club etc. You have look at this tweet and realise there’s nothing delusional about wanting ambition and progression. https://t.co/saNxK2jE3j

Unfortunately, some people can’t take away their hatred of Newcastle to see an actual problem going on at the club

People love to slate Newcastle for some reason? Rivals I get because we all do the same but random clubs, pointless

Other Newcastle fans meanwhile point out the fact they get slated by non-rival clubs constantly, and they appear to be sick of it.
