“You’ve ended the club’s career” – A lot of Newcastle United fans are delighted with Allan Saint-Maximin’s attempt to wind up Sunderland – after he was named in Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week.
A few Sunderland fans did not take too kindly to Shearer’s choice, and they pointed out that Allan did not score or assist on Saturday.
The Frenchman, though, did not mess around and responded by saying he wishes he could score his first goal for the Toon against the Mackems but then references the fact they are in League One.
The response from a lot of Newcastle fans was pure joy, and I can’t imagine what the scenes will be like when he gets his first goal for the club.
Does Saint-Maximin deserve to be in the Team of the Week
Yes, he was our best player
No, others were better
There were also a lot of bitter Sunderland fans trying to make snide remarks to Allan – which is hilarious to see.

He probably wouldn’t score past us, him and Almiron have less goals this season than Tom Flanagan has against Premier League teams

However, some Black Cats supporters have not taken too kindly to it.
