As Newcastle’s second week of pre-season training got underway, some supporters took to social media to voice their concerns for the upcoming season.
The club are still without a manager and are the only team within the division that have not signed a player during this transfer window, with the deadline set for 8th August.
It does not allow much time to get deals done and the fans have come to believe, the current squad is nowhere near good enough and relegation is on the cards.
The official club Twitter account posted an update with photos of the lads training with a caption explaining week two of the training programme is underway.
And as with most of the Tweets sent from that account, it was met with fans taking over the agenda and sharing their views on how they think the club is being run. And not many believe the club are doing a good job.
Some fans took to Twitter to explain how they think next season will go. One stated he thought it would be ‘relegation, plain and simple’ whilst another felt it is a ‘Championship squad bar a few players, we are gonna get absolutely rinsed all season’ unless new players are signed.

Week two of a managerless and clueless club with no ambition or drive. It’s a travesty not only for the hard-working players & remaining coaching staff, but more importantly the fans! Please just sell up, leave and let some owners with heart and ambition move this team forward!!!

Also week-2 of the summer #TransferWindow and so far we’ve lost our manager, sold our top scorer, and refused to sign our 2nd highest scorer – If #NUFC aren’t favourites for relegation then I’ll be astounded!
