“Isn’t he about 35” – A lot of Newcastle United fans are confused with the Toon’s U23’s latest result.
The young Magpies were beaten 2-1 by West Bromwich Albion who played Hal Robson-Kanu, Chris Brunt and Ali Al-Habsi.
Robson-Kanu scored a double for the Baggies, and this has left many Newcastle fans wondering why a 30-year-old striker was playing against their reserves.
What was even more sickening for Neil Redfearn’s side was that the Welsh striker scored a last-minute winner.
Before this Tom Allan had scored his fourth goal of the season from the penalty spot.
The Toon were good, but ultimately that first-team quality condemned them to defeat.
A lot of Newcastle supporters were questioning the age of Robson-Kanu while others were confused why players such as Brunt and the former Reading man were allowed to play against Newcastle’s kids.
See the best of the reaction below.

That’s gotta be gut wrenching for the kids when they’re undone by a team with FOUR premier league players returning from injury.
