Osama Bin Laden’s family want to buy Newcastle after an American investment firm said it was approached by Newcastle and rejected the opportunity.

Allardyce sticks his oar in where it is not wanted and says Newcastle should not sack Joey Barton. That’s another fine mess you go us into Sam.

According to the Telegraph ‘Newcastle are preparing a £4 million bid for Swiss international Gokhan Inler, after the midfielder impressed manager Kevin Keegan during Euro 2008.

Despite the co-hosts’ early exit from the tournament, Inler’s performances convinced Keegan that he would adapt easily to the Premier League. The 24-year-old Udinese player is viewed as the ideal replacement for Emre, who will join Fenerbahce this summer.

Keegan is also keeping a close eye on Per Ciljan Skjelbred, 21, the 2004 winner of a Norwegian talent show who turned down the first prize of a week’s trial at Liverpool to sign a full-time contract with Rosenborg.’

These aren’t really new rumours as they have been around for sometime so maybe there is a shred of truth in them.

A Newcastle blog reports ‘Newcastle United are interested in 28 year-old Dutch defender, Joris Mathijsen.’ This is not the first time we have been credited with an interest in this player so it could be true.
