Newcastle United have struggled for stability so far this season, finally securing a Premier League victory at the 11th time of asking in their most recent clash against Watford.
Ayoze Perez was the scorer of the only goal at the game at St. James’ Park, with Newcastle fans having to get used to not celebrating too often as their side have found the back of the net just seven times in 11 matches.
It is clear to see where the club need to improve over the course of the coming months and fans were reminded of one of their greatest ever strikers in midweek as Andy Cole was inducted into the Newcastle Foundation’s Hall of Fame on Tuesday.
Cole achieved a phenomenal record of 55 league goals in 70 appearances for Newcastle during his stint at the club before leaving to join Manchester United in 1995.
Fans enjoyed remembering his heroics for the club on social media and we have gathered some of the best responses to his induction below.
