Plenty of Newcastle United fans have been heaping praise on former Magpie Laurent Robert.
When we think of the Frenchman, we immediately think goals. Lest we forget. A talent in his own right and a player who loved a long-range effort.
If you’re a bit young to remember Robert bombing down the left-wing, then not to worry. ToonArmy shared a fantastic compilation on Twitter of some of his finer efforts in the famous black and white on his birthday.
Robert spent four seasons on Tyneside, scoring 31 goals and providing 10 assists in 175 appearances for Newcastle before leaving to join Portsmouth in 2005 after his fallout.
With this in mind, supporters were full of praise for Robert and made their feelings clear about him on social media. One fan said that he had a “wand of a left foot”, while another said that he “only ever scored bangers”. Both are absolutely spot on.
Robert on the left and Solano on the right = perfection

For me one of the best striker of a ball. What a player. If this take over ever reaches conclusion then we need to buy players of his caliber. Go for Roberts son. Already st max.
