Though we lost at the weekend, we think it’s fair to say that, for the most part, Newcastle have been much-improved over the last few weeks. The players are obviously training hard and Rafa Benitez is having a positive impact, and that’s going to be important as we head into the final stage of the Premier League season.

It’s essential that we maintain our form and stay away from the relegation zone. Fortunately, if the performances in training are anything to go by, the Magpies are only getting better.

Newcastle recently shared a clip of the squad in training, with the squad competing in a small game including a number of first team players.

There are some pretty remarkable finishes on display, whilst a fantastic scooped pass from Jonjo Shelvey is a particular highlight. If nothing else, the clip proves that there’s a lot of work being done behind the scenes.

If most of these goals were scored in the Premier League they’d probably be goal of the season contenders, and that’s a testament to the finishing on display.

Let’s hope we can replicate that this weekend.
