Newcastle United have started to show some fight after a slow start to the season, securing their second win in a row with a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth.
It took the Magpies until their 11th Premier League game of the season to taste victory, which came in a 1-0 win over Watford last weekend, and Rafael Benitez’s side followed that result with a fine display against the Cherries.
Eddie Howe’s high-flying Bournemouth side presented a stern test on paper but Newcastle’s admirable performance ensured all three points remained on Tyneside, sending the Magpies flying up the table.
While two-goal hero Salomon Rondon grabbed the headlines, opening his account for the club, many fans save some praise for their side’s defensive performance and singled out Fabian Schar after another impressive display.
