A depleted Newcastle head to London tomorrow for the Carling Cup Cracker Crunch Cuptie (great alliteration fella) against (hopefully) Arsene Wenger`s youth team and reserves. Given the Wengerbairns got to the final of this competition last season and with pressure from above being applied by Mort and Ashley on Big Sam, we should see a reasonably strong NUFC line up for a make or break game in our season.

Vital Quotes:

None so far…

Arsenal Team News:

For Arsenal I couldn`t dare predict who`ll be in their line up. I`d wager Eduardo is given a game but the likes of Adebeyor, Gallas, Toure and co will hopefully take a night off to kick up their heels and catch up with Sky Plus-ed Hollyoaks or something similar bland. I`ve no prior knowledge of many of Arsenal`s young stars so the firs time I`ll see them will be on the teamsheet tomorrow.

Player to watch: Theo Walcott

He’s greased lightning.

Newcastle Team News:

As for us? Hopefully the core of the team will remain the same. I expect the likes of Faye, Given, Shola, Martins, Enrique, Taylor and Carr to get run outs along with anyone else still fit after the weekend`s game. Owen and Cacapa are definitely out whilst the Duke remains a doubt.

Player to watch: Oba Martins

Point to prove.
