Fives game into the new season and the Newcastle support are hoping that the sixth fixture will bring their first Premier League win.

Just under 4,000 Newcastle supporters will be descending upon Selhurst Park this weekend, hoping their side, under the managerial acumen of Rafael Benitez, can beat Crystal Palace.

Newcastle’s start to the season has seen them encounter four of the top-six clubs, in their first five games, from which the side managed to not take a single point.

However, whilst the travelling support, who snapped up every available away allocation ticket, are hoping to be celebrating on the way home, with three points in the bag, a respected television pundit doesn’t see that being the case.

Mark Lawrenson, in his feature, as published by the BBC, is of the opinion that Wilfried Zaha will inspire Crystal Palace to a 2-1 win.

Hopefully, those wearing our famous shirts this weekend will be inspired to prove the former Liverpool defender wrong.

Myself, I’m going for a narrow Newcastle victory, 1-0!
