Time To Talk Frankly And Explore a Loan Option For Newcastle United

|

With Newcastle United struggling to add the required strength in depth to their first-team squad, with insufficient funds being available for Rafael Benitez to invest, the phrase wheeling and dealing has been a common feature in our articles.

Today, a piece of speculation has appeared in the media, courtesy of the Times, that suggests the Chelsea and England midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, is concerned about getting enough first-team football with the West London club.

The 22-year-old infers, in the referenced article, he’d be looking toward a loan move if he doesn’t feature in the first-team, at Stamford Bridge, on a regular basis.

Although Loftus-Cheek, who was part of Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad, mentions a loan move to the continent, could it be within the realms of possibility that he could be tempted to the north-east for the coming season?

Newcastle and Chelsea are on favourable terms when it comes to loan players with Kenedy illustrating the point perfectly.

Last season, Loftus-Cheek enjoyed a successful loan spell with Crystal Palace, my view is that he’d be the perfect fit for our midfield and a loan move could suit all concerned.

But, they are just my views, please feel free to express yours in the comments facility beneath this article.
