Time For A Clearout – Outgoing

|

It’s not just incoming deals that Newcastle need to get done this week with several fringe players needing to be moved on to make room in the squad and to trim the wage bill.

Newcastle probably need two more players to come in given the current injury crisis, which means we need to clear a couple more spaces in the 25-man squad.

Martin Dubravka and his mystery illness was left out of the last two matchday squads with some believing he’s come down with a rare case of Manunitis. Eddie Howe is reportedly set to make a decision today on Dubs’ move to Old Trafford as tweeted by Fabrizio Romano.

It looks like Fede Fernandez is wanted by Stoke who just got themselves a new manager or something at the weekend, can’t remember who or where he came from, but he is apparently interested in a loan move for our Argentine defender according to The Chronicle.

Howe is likely to send Matty Longstaff on loan again this season as he doesn’t seem to feature in his plans having yet to make a matchday squad.

Given the severity of Emil Krafth’s injury, it’s likely he will be removed from the 25-man squad, so that also frees up space and probably saves Javier Manquillo’s Newcastle career as he’d have been on the outbound list were it not for this injury.

That’s a few spaces freed up from the squad with Isak the one incoming player to be added. Hopefully, Isak won’t be the last before the window slams shut on Thursday night.
