It’s been a month since on-loan West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon last took to the pitch for Newcastle United but it seems the Venezuelan international is now on the verge of a return.
Having come into St James’ Park in the August transfer window in a move that saw Dwight Gayle head in the direction of The Hawthorns, the 29-year-old hasn’t had a great time really as he’s only made three Premier League starts with an additional two showings from the substitutes bench. His solitary goal so far came in the EFL Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Having last featured against Crystal Palace in the score draw, the player took to social media the other day to give the fans a message.

Reaction to his Tweet give the current feeling at the club owing to our Premier League position and overall performances was mixed to be fair, but plenty are hoping his more physical presence up top can help us turn things around and pick up our first win of the year, and then a few more for good measure.
Save us you beautiful man

Let’s hope he returns with his scoring boots but there is some debate on whether or not he can come into contention for Southampton this weekend – Click Here.
