He was last seen with a bag of cash heading down the A1, but ex-Toon boss Graeme Souness has to live with the flak from just about everyone who has played under him.

The latest is Trinidad and Tobago striker Dwight Yorke who played under Souness at Blackburn during two unsuccessful seasons at Ewood Park.

The former Aston Villa and Manchester United striker, now plays in Australia for Sydney FC.

Yorke: ‘If you listen to him it always seems to be the player’s fault but you can’t fall out with the best players.

‘I certainly found him to be a very arrogant man. As a player you can’t knock what he achieved in the game but as a manager you can’t fall out with the best players at your club.

‘And I’m not talking about the so-called Mickey Mouse players, I’m talking about arguably the best players in the team.’
