Plenty of Newcastle United fans have responded on Twitter after recent signing Nabil Bentaleb posted a video of him doing the ‘Stay At Home Challenge’.
The new craze has been spreading across the footballing Twitter-sphere as people are encouraging everyone to stay at home during the coronavirus outbreak by uploading a video of themselves doing keepy uppies with toilet roll.
As you can expect, with the amount people are stockpiling at the moment there are many jokes being made about the use of toilet roll.
The Algerian midfielder posted the video to his personal Instagram page with the hashtag #StayAtHomeChallenge. Newcastle United’s Twitter account then posted the video to their page with the same hashtag as well as the muscle and Algerian emojis.
Alongside the toilet roll bants, there were many other people who made jokes about the video. One fan suggested that he was surprised it didn’t go sideways – a joke about the player not making many forward passes – while others laughed about him nominating Joelinton.

He really nominated Joelinton… I’d love to see Joelinton try and pull of 10 kick ups with a football never mind toilet roll 😂

Even with Newcastle not having the most exciting of seasons, lots of fans will be frustrated that football has had to come to a halt.
This is mainly due to the fact they are in their first FA Cup Quarter Final since 2006 – even if it is against Manchester City – and they will have to wait until at least April 30 before they can play it.
