“Surely Worth A Chance” “Can’t Be Worse Than What We Have” – These Newcastle Fans Relishing This Man’s Shot

Newcastle United youngster Elias Sorensen continues to make a name for himself in our Under 23 set up and he helped the side to their fourth straight win on Monday evening as he bagged himself yet another hat-trick.

The 19-year-old Dane thoroughly put Aston Villa’s Development Squad to the sword in his most recent game. The hosts took the lead initially, but Sorensen scored his first after 24 minutes and went on to add further strikes in minutes 43 and 55 as we secured ourselves a 5-2 victory.

It was the youngsters’ second hat-trick in the last four games and his treble took him to 12 goals for the 2018/19 campaign so far. Followers of the other levels at the club will know Sorensen has a habit of finding the back of the net as he does it pretty regularly for us.

Reacting to the news on social media, and in light of our goal scoring struggles in the Premier League, a number of fans are hoping manager Rafa Benitez gives him a chance to shine in coming games as his confidence levels and youthful exuberance could well make a telling difference, even if he only freshens things up as a substitute as he adjusts and continues his development.
