With the England Under 21s set to take up a chunk of his summer, Steven Taylor has already pledged his future to the club in the Championship. However our England Under 21 skipper has stated that the main man he wants to see come July 1st is his current boss, Mr Shearer. Tayls said:

‘The club means so much to him. The fans love him, and he was hurt like we were about relegation. He has been unbelievable. The only one person who I think can take us back up is Alan. He has been fantastic to work with.

Let’s hope we get the chance to work with him again. We thought we were going to get out of it, but it is starting to sink in now.

We have got to deal with it and put ourselves back up there in the Premier League with no mistakes next year. We need stability so we can move on as a football club and look to the future.’
