One minute he’s away, the next he’s happy. Just what is going on with Moussa Sissoko?

Quotes appeared in local newspaper, The Shields Gazette, this morning which stated that Sissoko was happy. This came on the back of unhappy stories coming from his agent yesterday.

Sissoko hints that he wants to see the club challenge for Europe, which seems to be different to what the club wants, so maybe the unhappiness stems from that.

Sissoko was quoted as saying “I`m happy here and happy to play for Newcastle.

“Every week, I try to give my best performance.

“I will go to the World Cup and then come back ready for the new season.”

Since signing last year for £2million, the Frenchman has been inconsistant from brilliant to poor, with his stand out game being the 3-2 win over Chelsea in the 2012/13 season.

He scored 3 goals last season and made 35 appearances.
