Sign Him Up – 74% Of Newcastle Fans Polled Would Like To See Belgian Ace In Black And White

Anthony Limbombe is no longer training with Club Brugge’s first team, according to Het Laatste Nieuws with the Belgian winger’s future at the club in doubt.

A move to Huddersfield reportedly collapsed last week and the Belgian media believe we are now the favourites to sign the 24-year-old.

A pacey left-winger with a great deal of talent, Limbombe would certainly excite fans at St James’ Park, and when polled, almost a three-quarters of supporters said they would like to see him in the black and white:

Considering the club’s reluctance to spend money this summer, I can’t see us sealing a deal for the Belgian international before the transfer window closes. The Sun say he could cost £11m, and the fact is we have priorities in other areas.

The Chronicle report Rafa Benitez is targeting four signings: a striker, a number 10, a left-back and a centre-back so any fans hoping we’ll snap up Limbombe will probably be left disappointed.
