Should Newcastle Be Looking To Snap Up PSG Midfield Enforcer? – Have Your Say

|

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak is a target for us, Southampton and Liverpool, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Polish international made little impact during his loan spell at West Brom last season, and although Rafa Benitez may be looking for another player to strengthen in the middle of the park, the 28-year-old certainly wouldn’t be at the top of my list.

For the Baggies, Krychowiak was pretty ineffective with no goals and three assists from 31 appearances during his time at the Hawthorns. Although a holding midfielder, his lack of pace to get around the pitch makes him ill-suited for the Premier League.

He moved to PSG from Sevilla for €30m in 2016, but he has since failed to re-capture the form he showed during his time in Spain, where he won two Europa League medals in 2014/15 and 2015/16.

Personally, if we are to make improvements in central midfield, I would much rather we go for a more attacked minded playmaker so we can improve on the number of goals we scored last campaign.

What do you think? Would a move for Krychowiak be a good idea? Let me know in the poll:
