Newcastle United are ready to offload expensive Argentinian flop Fabricio Coloccini after the club’s unfortunate exit from the Premier League on Sunday.

Coloccini, 26, signed for the Magpies from Deportivo La Coruna for a club record £10 million for a defender in July 2008.

He has failed to settle in the team, and has made costly errors throughout the season, and is not preferred by Alan Shearer therefore.

Spanish outfit Sevilla FC are preparing to take the expensive flop off Shearer’s hands with a £4 million offer, but Newcastle United will hold out for £6 million.
