The media rumour circus continues to link Newcastle United with a transfer for anyone with legs. Here’s three of the most interesting in the last 24 hours.
Dean Henderson
As reported yesterday, Dean Henderson was believed to be in Newcastle this week to discuss the finer points on a mooted season long loan deal from Manchester United. This one is looking extremely likely, however, after his heroics last night, fans are now calling for a change of target and to go after Nick Pope of Burnley instead.
Gareth Bale
Welsh maestro, Gareth Bale is set to end his Real Madrid nightmare this season and will likely be looking for a Premier League return. The Mirror have Newcastle among one of five possible destinations for the former Spurs hero. A pinch of salt is very much required here, but this is not the first time he’s been linked and, until he’s found a new club,. likely won’t be the last.
Richarlison
In another “5 potential destinations” piece, The Mirror have Newcastle listed as a contender for the Brazilian’s signature after Richarlison looks to leave Everton. As much as Newcastle currently love a Brazilian, this one seems unlikely, and even if it does start to gain traction, there may well be a fan revolt as the Toon Army’s feelings on Richarlison are very clear with even the most cursory glance at NUFC Twitter.
