Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has confirmed that changes may be afoot to his starting line-up when Newcastle United travel to Bramall Lane on Thursday night.
Steve Bruce will lead the Toon down to South Yorkshire looking to maintain the momentum gained from holding Manchester City to a draw at the weekend, having been beaten disappointingly in our previous Premier League match away to Aston Villa.
The Blades will be keen to build on their weekend result, though, having been forced to settle for a third-straight top-flight draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers, following points being shared against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Sheffield United’s stalemate with Wolves also saw John Fleck and George Baldock receive their fourth yellow cards of the league campaign, and have now joined their Blades teammate John Lundstram on being one caution away from suspension.
Wilder’s £1.8million-rated centre-mid Lundstram received his fourth yellow of the term in his side’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United, and could now be rested in order to feature in one of the Blades’ upcoming fixtures.
Speaking at his pre-game press conference on Wednesday, Wilder said, via quotes by The Star: ” I have got that option to rotate.
“Everybody is fit and it is a testament to the conditioning work and work done by people away from lights. It is really valuable.
“We will have a look at the players, they are in good nick and playing well. I’d imagine they’d be disappointed if they are not involved, but I have got to make the right decision to get the best result for the football club.”

Baldock, Lundstram and Fleck have each been mainstay’s of Wilder’s plans since their promotion into the Premier League as Championship runners-up, with Fleck the only player of the three to have missed a league game thus far.
