The Chronicle journalist Chris Waugh has confirmed that we are tracking both Christopher Jullien and Myziane Maolida, but it is believed that we are unlikely to sign either player during this transfer window.
Reports in France have suggested that bids for the pair are expected before deadline day, but it looks as though we will be looking at other targets:
Have checked out the latest Christopher Jullien links this morning &, though #nufc have watched him, it sounds like the club are pursuing alternative centre-back options atm. Also Maolida of Lyon is someone who has been tracked, but a move for him this window is unlikely atm

In Jullien’s case, reports from Goal.com journalist Robin Bairner suggested that we had joined Southampton and Everton in pursuing the 25-year-old. The centre-back is available for €10m but it looks as though Stanley N’Soki of PSG could be our main target for a similar fee.
With regards to Maolida, L’Equipe (via Foot01) have reported today that we remain in negotiations to sign the 19-year-old, but that now seems wide of the mark. Waugh hints that a move for the Lyon striker could happen in the future but not before Thursday transfer deadline.
