Poll: Should Newcastle make their move for talented European ace?

|

Aside from the arrival of Sung-Yueng Ki, our transfer window has been relatively quiet. However, with less than a month remaining until the deadline strikes, it’s likely that we’ll observe more incomings over future weeks, and Bruno Fernandes could be on his way to St James’ Park.

According to Portuguese outlet, A Bola, we’re allegedly interested in the services of Bruno Fernandes. The 23-year-old has announced that he’s departing Sporting this summer, and despite alleged interest from Liverpool and Tottenham, we should do everything in our power to ascertain his signature.

Fernandes had a sensational individual season for Sporting last season, having contributed towards an astonishing total of 36 goals in all competitions – scoring 16 goals and registering 20 assists.

The midfielder is exceedingly versatile, and he can operate in almost every midfield position imaginable. In addition to functioning in a central role, Fernandes can play on either flank, and such adaptability could prove to be an invaluable asset for us this season.

Moreover, he flaunts desirable attacking qualities. His crossing ability is utterly sublime, and he has developed a useful propensity to complete key passes. Furthermore, he is exceedingly talented at set-pieces, and he displays clinical proficiency in front of goal.

In my opinion, Fernandes has the potential to be our signing of the summer. What are your thoughts? Do you agree? Let us know by voting in the poll!
