The club released images of Puma’s new away shirt yesterday, with the kit harking back to the mid-nineties with its use of maroon and dark blue hoops.
Worn by the likes of David Ginola in the club’s title challenge during the 1995/96 campaign, the shirt is remembered fondly by many among the fanbase:

I decided to run a poll to see how many liked Puma’s new design, and the vast majority were liking the fact that the manufacturer has returned to a famous season in the club’s history for inspiration:
It will be great to see the players running out onto the pitch wearing the away strip next season. Certainly, with the club’s current owner, we can’t expect to replicate the feats of the past, but hopefully, Rafa Benitez and his side can give all of us some great memories regardless in the upcoming campaign.
What do you think of the kit? Let me know in the comments.
