Our regular series of interviews with rival ed’s continues with a one on one with Vital Wigan’s Worbo.

So then, how’s the season shaping up so far?

Probably not quite as I expected. Was hoping for top half, following our superb end to last season I was hoping for a continuation this term, but we have dropped points against teams that we shouldn`t have and so find ourselves in the bottom half of mid-table

How would you say you approach a game? What’s the formation?

We are definitely the advocate`s of the wing back system, three at the back, two central midfielders and our flying wing backs, we play two strikers with an attacking midfielder in the hole

Any of your player’s in form that we should worry about?

Arouna Kone is a real handful, James McCarthy in the midfield as also been very good this season

Are Wigan doing as expected this season or is there a silent rebellion taking shape amongst the fans?

Fans rebellion against Martinez? He is the Messiah didn`t you know, he is deeply loved and we are very content to follow his teachings

Are you worried that Wigan will face an almighty backlash on Monday?

No, not at all, this is the Premier League and all teams are strong, each game is tough so we will be prepared just like any other game, Newcastle are a good side on a bad run which will undoubtedly end sometime, whether that`s Monday or not remains to be seen, but there`s no point us getting worried about it, not that we would any way

Do you think that Wigan will play a game to frustrate us or will you worry about yourselves?

We will play our normal game, possession football, attacking on the break, we have a few injury concerns and some definitely out, which won`t change our formation at all, we line up exactly the same where ever we play and whoever against

Who do you think will be our dangermen?

Demba Ba always scores against us, or he seems to do, so I`ll go for him

What’s the thoughts on Alan Pardew?

A steady Eddy, nothing spectacular, did a great job last season, having a few problems this time around, no doubt given time, he`ll come good again

How long do you think you can keep hold of Roberto Martinez? and do you see Mike Ashley as being given the opportunity to approach Dave Whelan for his services if it ever came to it?

Well he`s shown his loyalty by staying for the past two seasons despite interest from other clubs, he says he has a plan and wants to see it through, how long that will take I don`t know but he is a very ambitious guy and I have no doubts that one day he will go.

Martinez turned down Liverpool in the summer because they wouldn`t give him total control, if he wont get that at Newcastle then don`t bother calling,if he would then maybe you`d be a club that`d interest him, Whelan never stands in peoples way of leaving, he understands that people want to further their careers, so he`d definitely allow Ashley to speak to Martinez should it come round to it

In your 3 year plan, where do you see Wigan at the end of it?

3 year plan? Would like to see us as a top half Premier League side, with a great youth policy, pushing for Euro qualification

And us?

Pushing for Champions League qualification surely

Can you see us get relegated this season?

Nope, can`t see beyond Reading, QPR and Villa to be honest

Any predictions for the game?

1-1 would do nicely

Predictions for the season for both clubs?

Mid-table for both of us me thinks

I heard you sell good pies at your place. What’s the verdict?

You can`t ask a Wiganer about pies, we just start to orgasm…urrmmm, lovely, just like a woman, the Chunky Steak are the best

What would you say to those who say that Wigan don’t deserve their place in the top league due to the crowd size?

Get a grip, what as size got to do with anything

and finally….

And what would you say to those who say Wigan is a rugby town?

A rugby town? You don`t know what you are talking about, the Rugby club live along side us, they play in our stadium, attracting far less support than what we do, they are successful granted, but so are we, Wigan is a small town and to have two sporting clubs competing at the pinnacle of their respective leagues is quite a fantastic achievement

Cheers mate.
