Following on from yesterday’s announcement of the first friendly that Newcastle would play ahead of the 2017 season, today saw another.

Bradford were announced first as one of our games of pre-season where we’ll face them at Valley Parade on Wednesday 26th July. The game kicks off at 7:30pm

Today it was announced that we’ll play Preston North End again after playing them three times this last season.

Again, it is an away game and it will probably come after a predicted week to Ireland. The game at Preston’s Deepdale ground is on the Saturday prior to the Bradford game with a traditional 3 o clock kick off.

If Newcastle do indeed go to Ireland like they did last year then that would fit in, in the week prior from the 14th/15th July up until the Saturday of the Preston game and would come just a couple of weeks after pre-season starts on the 3rd July.

Newcastle also announced that other games will be confirmed in the next few days which include a home friendly. The speculation is that it is Italian side Verona but we’ll find out for certain soon.
