Before, we get ahead of ourselves and check every news site on the internet for confirmation, the sentence is made up, although if rumour is to be believed, this summer is the climax of Mr Ashley’s time in Toon.. with yet another bit of inside info reaching us here at Talk of the Tyne of an impending sale within the next fortnight..
Ashley’s time at the club has been controversial to say the least and if anything he has stabilized the finances here but very little else in my opinion. His presence as owner here has split fans down the middle with a lot making their feelings known in a way of boycotting the ground or anything else that he owns or runs. Decisions have been amateurish or laughable at times and the end cannot come quick enough for a lot of people.. Hopefully this is soon with the countdown beginning now to his demise.
The signs are there with little bits of media attention now and then, including a Sunday Mirror exclusive quite recent. The usual names are mentioned with Anil Ambani the frontrunner…. We wait with baited breath……..
