With hours left until the fixture list for the new premier league season is released, excitement is building.

Not by me it isn’t mind with the clubs we face both home and away already known and have been for weeks.

The only thing we’ll find out in the morning is in which order the fixtures will be played although it’s important to remember that the fixture list will be announced before the TV companies get their chance to butcher it.

I suppose the order of fixtures is the biggest deal for reasons that aren’t as apparent as the just wanting to know as a ‘kind’ start as in playing teams that we have a chance of competing with is better than facing the top six, one after the other and seeing confidence drained because a good start could set our season off.

Survival for this season will be the main target but the longer the season goes on and if the target is met then Rafa will target the next and so on.

With a new club sponsor adorning a brand new strip, we face Brighton and Huddersfield in the reformed premier league for the first time and in the top flight for the best part of 45 years in Huddersfield and 33 years for Brighton.

Aside from us playing at their grounds officially for the first time in this league, we played at both of their places in the past few weeks but we will be playing at two new stadiums for the first time in our history.

Both of them coming out of tax payers money, so I suppose we all own a piece in reality but we’ll be playing our first games at West Ham’s Olympic Stadium and the new Wembley as Spurs are being allowed to use it this season whilst they move ground 50 yards.
