It’s Friday and we have yet another Newcastle fan under the spotlight.

It’s nearly Christmas but we still managed to stop one of our fans in the street to ask his thoughts on this lot.

We know you as a lad from Darlington but what was the attraction for following The Magpies?

My Dad’s side of the family all support Newcastle, My Grandad was from Gateshead, so there is a link,
My Dad used to follow Newcastle Home and Away until i was born, so i suppose its down to him that i support Newcastle and the reason i’m so into football in general.

First game you remember?

Partizan Belgrade in the Champions League Qualifier, Lost 1-0 then went on to lose on penalties (no surprise there!)

How long would you say you have followed the black and whites?

For as long as i can remember really, my first memory of Newcastle is the Feyenoord champions league game in Rotterdam so i’d say about 10 years.

Do you have a season ticket, and if not, do you make it to many games?

I don’t have a season ticket, work restricts that. and i get to as many games a season as work allows me, usually around 10 home games a season.

What’s the most memorable time for you as a fan?

For me, the Championship season. i’d never really experienced what it was like to win week in week out, and for the first time in a long time i’d never been as proud to be a Newcastle fan than i was when we lifted the Championship Trophy. i had a feeling good times were ahead.

Favourite NUFC game of all time?

It has to be the 5-1 against the unwashed. to come up from the Championship and hammer our rivals by that margin was something special or the 6-0 against Villa, that was a very sweet victory considering the grief they gave us when they (or Duff) sent us down.

Favourite NUFC goal?

The one goal that pops into my head when this gets mentioned is Shearer’s volley against Everton, so id say that.

Any heroes when you were growing up?

Shearer, Also i loved Robert. best left footer i’ve seen in a Newcastle shirt.

What’s your thoughts on Alan Pardew, Puppet or doing a decent job considering the tools provided?

Personally i don’t think he’s doing too bad considering the money that’s available. After the Season we had last year, think some people aren’t giving him the credit he deserves. we’ve had a tough start this season but we have zero depth in the squad so its not really surprising.

What do you think of Mike Ashley and what do you think he can do to win more people over?

I don’t think he’ll win everyone over even if he was here for the next 20yrs, its just not going to happen. but i think he can silence a few fans by spending some money in transfer windows, we really need a few signings in January, and i hope he puts his hands in his pocket.

Do you think the club has learned from past mistakes?

Yes. financially we’re more secure than we were a few years ago, and the one thing i do agree with Ashley on is wages. no footballer should be on 70odd grand a week, and he’s right to introduce the wage cap. Because last time we gave players daft wages, we were in a terrible financial state, and i don’t want that to happen again.

Which realistic signings would make you happy in January?

They’ve all been linked with us in the past, But Debuchy, Douglas, Sissoko, Remy. Remy is only available for 10 million apparently and with Demba Ba looking increasingly likely to be on his way out, i’d get Remy in.

How long have you visited the various forms of Talk of the Tyne?

I’d say around 4-5 years, i was on the old rivals site but not really sure how long ago that was.

Is there any areas where we can improve the place?

I think its pretty well ran already, and the MOD’s can only do so much, most of it is down to posters to not act like idiots or spam the board.

What’s the best/funniest thread you have witnessed in the time you’ve been here?

The one about the TV Ariel posted by Ben-nufc was absolutely hilarious. also the one OL did about how many shits do you have in a day, had me in stitches!

Which Poster do you think speaks the most sense?

There’s a few who speak sense, Platini, SPB, Steeks, PM to name a few.

Who’s been the most annoying poster in your time?

Don’t think i really need to say, But Latic without a doubt.

Your username is pretty much to the point but have you ever thought about changing it and if so, what would it be?

Never really thought about changing it to be honest.

If you wrote a book on your experiences of being an NUFC fan, what would the title be?

‘NUFC, My Story’

Do you think NUFC are in a relegation battle for the season or do you see us picking up soon?

I think we’ll pick up starting against QPR. i know our fixtures are hard over the Xmas period but our 2nd half performance against Man City was brilliant, totally outplayed them but we need to start performing for a full 90 minutes rather than 45.

How do you see us faring in The Europa Cup?

I think that depends on who we draw and how active we are in January, if we sign a couple of quality players, Quarters/Semi finals, if not we’ll be out in the next round.

and The FA Cup?

Well we’ve got a hard draw in the 3rd round (Brighton away again) but it depends how seriously Pardew is taking it, but the chances are he’ll field Kids and Brighton will beat us.

Where do you see us in 3 years time?

Impossible to answer with Ashley as Owner. we could be a top 6 time and won a Cup competition by then or we could be in the Championship again, its that unpredictable!

Ive noticed you on twitter, for those who don’t know, what is the username?

19cameron92.

If you could be manager of NUFC for a season, what changes would you introduce to try and end the long wait for a trophy?

If i inherited the current squad i’d play 4-3-3/4-2-3-1, Drop Jonas and replace him with Marveaux. Send some of the kids out on loan. and sell players who aren’t upto it, like Williamson. i would also Tell Ba that if he was here for the money then he could be sold and i’d spend the money on another Striker.

(Asked by Platini) What do you think Ashley’s intentions really are. What’s his game plan?

Well his intentions are simple, to make as much money as he possibly can. and if that means not dipping into the transfer market when we need it, or buying players for bargain prices and selling them on for a big profit, then that’s what he will do. he’s a Business, and a good one at that.

If we got relegated, would you wash your hands with the team or look forward to the change of scenario?

I couldn’t wash my hands with the team or club, I’d support this club if we were in league 2.. if i wanted constant success i would follow City or United.

Who would be your next manager of NUFC?

If we had the same financial restrictions, David Moyes. he’s proved he’s brilliant at working with small budgets

Who do you think is NUFC’s worst problem? Ashley, Llambias or Pardew?

Mixture. Ashley for what he’s done in the past, and the fact he won’t part with some dosh. Llambias because he supports Ashley and comes across as very arrogant, and Pardew because of some of the waffle he talks to the media. If he just stuck to managing the squad it wouldn’t be so bad, the majority of fans seem annoyed with the way he conducts himself in interviews.

What’s your all-time NUFC XI?

Given

A.Hughes Woodgate Colo Bernard

Solano Speed Emre Robert

Ben Arfa

Shearer

Finally, choose a question to ask the next person interviewed?

Who would you say the Best and worst players are at the club?
