Plenty of Newcastle United fans have been left shocked and traumatised by the latest takeover update.
According to The Guardian, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and their £300m purchase of the Tyneside club has been thrown into serious doubt.
The World Trade Organisation (WTO), the ones who are investigating the crown prince Mohammed bin Salman about his involvement in illegal football match streaming, will label his country responsible for it and could affect the Premier League’s decision on whether to let the takeover go through or not.
The St James’ Park faithful are desperate to see the back of retail tycoon Mike Ashley and are willing to see his reign of terror brought to an end after his 13-year spell at the helm of the board room.
As a result, supporters were left devastated and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that nothing surprises him anymore, while another described the news as “extremely disappointing”.
Starting to feel like the Guardian has an angle, but they’re a highly respected paper. #NUFC https://t.co/QCiAs4zgdb

Have to say it’s extremely disappointing for our fans to develop a persecution complex before the club has even changed hands. https://t.co/geO7mHHtHI

So this explains the delay. Finally. We’ll have a decision very quickly now no doubt. And it will be a no. Can only happen to #NUFC

Too far in I’m afraid, 50,000 geordies will raid their headquarters if rejected
