Next Up On The Menu Could Result In That Elusive First Victory This Season

|

After the first international break of the 2018 / 2019 season, Newcastle United resume their Premier League campaign this weekend when they welcome Arsenal to St James Park.

Newcastle enter this game having taken just a solitary point from their first four games with the home support desperate to see their side claim a first victory of the season.

Arsenal arrive in Newcastle after recovering from a poor start to the season to register their first victory, last time out, against West Ham United.

Now whether Rafael Benitez can orchestrate a first win of the season remains to be seen, our last home fixture saw the Spaniard try to frustrate Chelsea with a defensive formation, a move that could have resulted in the spoils being shared. Sadly, Chelsea spoilt the party by claiming a late-winner to take all three points.

Will Rafael employ similar tactics against Arsenal, or will he, encouraged by the way Newcastle troubled the Chelsea defence when they did venture forward, field a far more attacking formation?

It is definitely something to ponder over, as is our latest poll which asks you to predict the outcome of this fixture:

Continuing in our build-up to what is an intriguing fixture, we are able to bring you the names of those chosen to officiate:

• Referee – Lee Probert
• Assistant Referee – Simon Beck
• Assistant Referee – Adrian Holmes
• Fourth Official – David Coote

Will Saturday be a joyous day whereby we get that first victory of the season or will we all be drowning our sorrows?
