News: Newcastle target named as the “Best player in the league” by influential figure

|

Hull City’s boss Grant McCann has named Jarrod Bowen as the best player in the Championship.

The 22-year-old winger has been in sparkling form this season with nine goals in just 16 matches.

This has led to his manager raining down praise upon him – calling Bowen “Top, top draw” and that “Anywhere he goes he will have an impact on the game.”

This could imply that he thinks Bowen will be leaving the Tigers in the near future – which could interest Newcastle.

Bowen has been linked with a move to us for months, and someone in the Premier League will take a punt on him soon, and that club should be Newcastle.

At just 22, he fits the age range that our board like to sign and has consistently provided end product for Hull.

The Toon’s current front three are exciting and starting to gel but have only provided one goal and one assist between them so far.

Bowen has the potential to turn our front three into not only a devastating counter-attacking unit but also add some goals.

Is Bowen worth Newcastle bidding for?

Yes

No

In just 116 Championship matches he has 47 goals all coming from his right-wing position, and though the Premier League is higher quality, many feel that Bowen is ready to take that step up and deliver the goods.

Steve Bruce is a big admirer, and he could be just the addition we need to the current squad.
