News: Former Celtic favourite has had enough of 25-year-old Newcastle player’s antics

|

Chris Sutton has launched a verbal tirade at Miguel Almiron over his continued attempts at simulation.

Sutton, speaking on 606, demanded that Almiron stop diving and start scoring goals instead.

The former Celtic player said that the 25-year-old is top of the table for simulation, but he hasn’t scored a goal yet.

Sutton also said that Almiron was better than this and that he must stop diving and focus on contributing positively to his side.

I have to say I totally agree with Sutton diving has no place in football, and Almiron has had two yellow cards in the Premier League this season both for diving, while on Thursday, he was sent off in a friendly for simulation.

This did not go down well with many Newcastle fans who are happy to give the Paraguayan time to score, but they cannot stand the fact he is diving.

This is clearly a problem, and when Almiron returns from international duty, Steve Bruce must sit down with the former Atlanta United man and try and get this simulation from his game because it is now starting to become a significant issue.

Sutton is correct with this view on Almiron, and I hope the 25-year-old stops trying to con referees as it will only hinder his career.
