Newcastle’s Kingdom For A Viable Left-Back

|

With Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett limping out of the Wales v Denmark defeat having picked up an injury in the first half of the game the other day, fans are eagerly awaiting an update on the severity of the problem the 27-year-old picked up.

Plenty hope manager Rafa Benitez isn’t forced into changes given we entered the November international break with back to back wins over Watford and Bournemouth, but others are naturally debating the options available to him if Dummett is forced to spend any time on the sidelines.

Kenedy is one option and Benitez has already played him at fullback this season, but right-back Javi Manquillo is another option – albeit not a favoured one for many.

As fans discussed our possible future choices on social media, some wanted Achraf Lazaar to be dusted off and given a chance and even Ciaran Clark was offered as somebody who could move wider potentially.
